Vol. 1 · A citation-first reference

The data on how to live a longer, healthier, more livable life.

Sixpence Support UK collects what the UK's leading public-health authorities — the NHS, NICE, ONS, OHID, UKHSA and the Royal Colleges — together with the BMJ, Lancet and NEJM, actually say about the day-to-day choices that move the needle on health. Every number you see links to its primary source.

Primary sources only

Numbers come from the NHS, NICE, ONS, OHID, UKHSA, the UK CMOs and Royal Colleges, alongside peer-reviewed journals (BMJ, Lancet, NEJM, JAMA). International sources are used only when no UK equivalent exists.

Every figure is linked

Each statistic in the text carries a superscript that jumps to a full citation. If a claim isn't cited, treat it as background context, not data.

Scope

Day-to-day relevance

We focus on the modifiable factors — diet, movement, sleep, stress, substances, prevention — with the strongest causal evidence for population health.
